Main Job Purpose:
 
The IT Officer is responsible for a wide range of technical support activities such as performing hands-on technical maintenance tasks on RHAS’s servers/ telephone cables/ desktops/ operating systems and software applications, working on maintaining and monitoring the computer systems and networks for RHAS, solving technical issues, and collaborating with team members across all departments to assist them with their technical requirements.
 
 
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
 
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
  • Offer daily operations and systems support to staff, and work closely with all staff to resolve IT-related inquiries.
  • Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely, and via phone.
  • Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions.
  • Conduct daily network backup operations, and set up a secure data back-up and archival system.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Provide technical support across the organization (this may be in person or over the phone).
  • Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
  • Represent the department in meetings/ committees as assigned by the direct manager.
  • Windows installation and configuration of domain environment computers and users, install and manage System Center Configuration manager on the server.
  • Perform system upgrades as necessary for software and hardware-related components as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties on RHAS network, servers firewall and backup system.
  • Perform security updates and implement cyber security solutions.
  • Follow up with vendors on maintenance and repair of laptops, PCs, printers; etc.
  • Sets up and maintains network operations, including assembly of network hardware.
  • Working on Office 365 mailing solution and Microsoft 2FA solutions.
  • Maintain an organized storage facility of all IT related assets, and maintain an updated log of IT assets status in terms of functionality and efficiency, and have clear priorities on the need for maintenance or change.
  • Support the Organizational Performance Development Department on tasks related to processes digitization and introduction of new software to enhance the organization’s operations.
  • Act as the System Administrator for the operational software used at the organization.
  • Act as the technical focal point for purchases of IT devices and software and work closely with the Procurement Department and the relevant Departments in accordance with RHAS’s procurement policy.
  • Support the Administration Manager in the development of the IT department’s annual plan and budget, and ensure the proper execution of the plan and budget.
  • Work closely with the Organizational Performance Development Department to develop the IT-related Policies & Procedures, and ensure proper implementation of the same.
  • Prepare reports and related documents as required by the direct manager.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the direct manager.
  • ·Commit to the implementation of the personal learning and development plan agreed upon with the direct manager.
 
Education:
 
· A bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
 
Experience:
 
·4 years of experience in a related field.
 
·Has experience in Windows server, Create Policy, Active Directory and NAP.
 
· Ability to perform as an Admin on Windows 365.
